2ND ANNUAL BRIDGING THE GAP AWARDS

(Los Angeles, CA; September 25, 2013)– The Perlman Foundation is pleased to announce the second annual Bridging the Gap Awards (BGA), a matching grant that assists smaller sized charitable organizations that exemplify the Perlman Foundation’s mission. Recipients will also become eligible for other Perlman Foundation initiatives, such as the My Future College Scholarship.


Applications Accepted:  October 10, 2013 through October 31, 2013
Finalist Announced: November 15, 2013
Donations Accepted: November 25, 2013 through December 15, 2013
Donations Presented: January/February 2014
Matching Grant Award: up to $20,000*
Number of Awards: up to 20
Eligible States: AL, CA, FL, GA, OH, NC, PA, SC, TN or TX
Priority given to organizations assisting residents in: Los Angeles County in California, Wake County in North Carolina, Jefferson County in Alabama, Cuyahoga County in Ohio, Dallas County in Texas, and Greenville County in South Carolina.

The Foundation will also award one $5,000 Community Builder grant to an individual working hard in their community to make a difference. If you know a local "Community Builder", post their name what they do, where we can find information on their work on Twitter- @thepfoundation or under the daily "Community Builders" post on Facebook, with the hash tag #BGACommunityBuilder.
